A new Nigerian studio, founded by a designer and an operations lead, with ambitions in Nigeria, the UK and Canada.
Case study 01 · VANQ Studios
We built our own brand to the standard we sell.
Before asking founders to trust the method, we used it on ourselves. This is how a new studio with no portfolio built an identity system that earns trust on first look.
The story
Character, want, obstacle, need, transformed.
To be taken seriously from day one by founders who invest in quality — not to compete on price.
No case studies yet, a combative "conquer" voice that didn't fit the work, and a logo that had changed several times without a system behind it.
Strategy before style: a clear position, a voice people trust, and one coherent system every touchpoint could follow.
A strategy-led studio with a mark built to last, a calm voice, and a documented system — the same standard every client receives.
The mark
Lintel Tiers.
Three heavy chevron tiers at the angle of the Jost V, each resting on the one beneath — the way a brand system is built: strategy, identity, then the system that holds it together. The gold tier lands last.
Colour
Three colours. Nothing decorative.
A dark cover, a white body and a gold accent — an editorial system that reads as calm authority in print, on screen and in motion.
Typography
Two typefaces, clear jobs.
Jost Black carries the logo and large titles; Montserrat carries everything people read. Both are open-licence, so the system never depends on a fee.

Voice
From "conquer" to calm authority.
The old voice talked about battles. The new one is the voice of a trusted advisor — The Sage first, The Ruler second.
Clear
Plain words, short sentences, one idea at a time.
Reliable
We promise only what we deliver — and then deliver it.
Precise
Every rule is specific enough to follow without asking.
